Well, i’m alive – so it definitely wasn’t Normandy.
Yeah, I know – bad joke.
Anyway, D-Day – today was our first order. Technically not the first order for the company, as it’s been around since 3 years now, first order after I joined. This was the party order for Meghna.

Well, the start wasn’t so good – the people (as in our people) and material came late. These people were coming from Warasiguda which is somewhere near Secunderabad – about 25km away, and the traffic just was not cooperating that day (does it, any day?).

Anyway, so here they are about half an hour after the party was supposed to start. One good thing suggested by Murthy and which did turn out for the better was that I got to Meghna’s place at the correct time – that stopped them from getting nervous. Once they were here, the serving had to begin immediately, so we went into an overdrive even before we arranged things properly. We had minor hiccups on the way when one of the cables to the gas stove stopped working, and the supposedly co-operative neighbours complained about the cooking in the corridor near their house and some tempers. Anyway, things did stay in control at all times and the guests did like the food. And, that made our clients happy too. I was a little apprehensive about the jalebis not being made fresh, as that is what we’d promised but nobody complained much.

Well, this event being our first did give me some jitters, but it gave me a confidence that I CAN.
I hope everything in the future also goes this way.
